hey swa here is the video of the setup of the waltzer, as you were asking me and we were talking at buffalo wild wings, it is 8 min cause it is in lapsed time, and whoever came up with the music is a idiot, should have been rock n roll lol.

Looking for Midway Show June 21-23

Fairbank, IA (near Waterloo, IA) is currently looking to book a carnival show on the fourth weekend of June, 2012 (June 21-23). Santa's Enchnated Forest

What's the deal with Santa's Enchanted Forest in Miami? Is it open only during Christmas time? Or year round? Do they rent out the rides from other shows or do those rides belong to Santa's? Looks like a cool place. Would like to go one of these days. From the pics I've seen, looks like it has a traveling carnival feel, but it's permanent.

Moon Rocket ride

I saw a pic the other day of a ride called Moon Rocket. It was a trailer mounted ride that sat horizontal and was a simulator. It was shaped like a rocket. People would sit inside in seats. Looked cool. The ride was from the 60's and 70's. Did anyone around here ever have that one? The article said Royal American had one for a while, but I was wondering if that ride was ever out here.

Ticket Box Rentals

I just purchased 12 - 2 seat ticket booths, 2 - 6 person booths and 1 - 16 person booth. I am renting these out to festivals. If you know of any festivals that use ticket boxes please let me know. As part of the deal to buy these we have to service the customers that used them last year. That being said we can still cover a lot more events.

Don't know if anyone has noticed, but there is a section on youtube titled Ride Jocks. There are a bunch of vids showing set-up/tear-down, Driving, bosses, etc. There's too many vids to paste here. Just go to youtube and type ride jocks. Looks like it was a tv special or something.

If anyone is interested......Boone County Fairgrounds has a Karnival of Karngae huanted house going on this wknd. It's supposed to be themed as a haunted carnival...complete with demon carnies. The website is: karnivalofkarnage.com. It's off of 1-90.
